Shrimp on Sugar Cane Skewers

Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1 teaspoon cayenne
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoons dill
- 1 1/2 teaspoons tarragon
- 1/2 teaspoons basil
- salt and pepper to taste
- 12 large shrimp, shelled and cleaned
- 4 sugar cane spears
- 1/4 balsamic vinegar

Preparation:
- Boil sugar and water in a saucepan. Remove from heat.
- Add everything but shrimp and vinegar. Mix. Marinate shrimp for 1-2 hours.
- Place 3 shrimp on each skewer (6 x 1/4 x 1/4 inch skewers). Reserve marinade for later.
- Place on grill until shrimp is done (no gray left).
- Add vinegar to marinade and mix. Serve over shrimp.
