Salton Grills
The most famous of the Salton grills are the ones advertised as “the Lean Mean Fat-Reducing Grilling Machine”. The clamshell shaped George Foreman grills are indoor grills that have the unique feature of grilling from both directions. They aslo have slightly slanted bottom grates, a feature which the company claims is responsible for reducing the fat content by chanelling it away from the food. The grill comes in various sizes and configurations. It can be used not only for meat and hamburgers, but also as a panini grill to cook sandwiches etc. The dominance of the George Foreman grill can especially be seen in the college dorm rooms and fraternity houses.
