Korean Kalbi Short Ribs Recipe

Korean Kalbi Short Ribs

Ingredients

  • 5 lbs thin cut tender short rib of beef, cross cut,about 1/2 inch thick.
  • 2 cups soy sauce
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 inch piece of ginger grated
  • 1 tsp. sesame oil
  • 1 tsp of dry chili pepper flakes
  • 1 cup chopped green onions
  • 1 tbsp of sesame seeds

Directions

  • Place all ingredient into a marinating dish, a 9x13 glass pyrex pan is great and marinate for about 4 hours or over night.
  • During marinating time, turn over pieces to make sure they are all coated.
  • Pop them on the grill, making sure not to over cook them because the sugar will caramelized quickly. You want them tender and grilled just right about 3-5 mins on each size depending on thickness of ribs.
  • We usually serve this with white rice, and some Korean bean sprout salad. The meat is usually placed on chopped cabbage for serving.
  • Enjoy anyway you like.
