Buffalo Wings
Its hot, its spicy and its makes you carve for more. It’s the buffalo wings. Can you guess why the chicken wings you eat are named as buffalo wings. The reason is quite simple; this particular dish was first invented in Buffalo, NY. After all this brushing up the mind lets talk about the empty stomach. Buffalo wings are traditionally deep fried and marinated in lot of spicy sauces. The buffalo wings are usually dressed in blue cheese. The most common ingredients to be used to prepare the buffalo wings is:
Wings
- 2 lbs chicken wings (about 12 wings)
- 3 Tbsp butter, melted
4 Tbsp bottled hot pepper sauce (like Crystal or Frank's Original)
- 1 Tbsp paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Celery sticks (optional)
- Blue cheese dip
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 Tbsp white wine vinegar or white vinegar
- 1 clove garlic, minced
1) Cut the chicken wings at the joints, pat dry, and season with salt and pepper.
2) Heat oil in a pot to medium high, and fry the chicken wings until golden and crisp. (10 to 12 minutes) Drain the oil when done.
3) Heat butter in a frying pan on medium - low heat until melted. Mix in hot sauce and vinegar. Add in the fried chicken wings and mix well.
4) Serve buffalo wings with blue cheese dressing and celery.
